DO YOUR BEST! - Arrow of Light

The Arrow of Light rank is the highest rank that a Cub Scout can achieve. This rank represents a significant step in a Scout's journey, as they soon will crossover to a Scouting America Troop. Arrow of Light Scouts will find increased challenges and a more independent Scouting experience in this program.

In order to make rank, an Arrow of Light Scout must complete the 5 required adventures and at least 2 of the elective adventures. The required adventures are summarized below but can be found in much further detail in your Scout's handbook:

Outdoor Adventurer - In this adventure, AOL Scouts will plan and participate in a campout with their AOL Patrol or a Scouts BSA troop.
Personal Fitness - In this adventure, AOL Scouts reinforce their knowledge of proper nutrition, staying active with group activities, and personal exercises. They will also learn about their Scouting Health and Medical Record.
Citizenship - In this adventure, AOL Scouts will learn about and participate in a community service project.
First Aid - In this adventure, AOL Scouts will learn how to protect themselves and how to help others when they have been hurt.
Duty to God - In this adventure, AOL Scouts will learn about what it means to practice their family's beliefs, as well as what it means to defend the right of others to practice their own beliefs.

Beyond these required adventures, there are various elective adventures from the handbook that we include in our Scouting program that include activities like engineering, animal identification, estimation concepts and more while teaching the AOL Scouts the values in the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

For the 2024/2025 Scouting year, annual pack dues for the Arrow of Light rank vary from $35 - 48, depending on if your Scout is staying in the Pack or advancing to the Troop. Please see the Pack Treasurer, Nick Mead, to make full or partial payment.

After completing the AOL Scout program, the Scouts will take part in a crossover ceremony to celebrate their Cub Scout achievements and to represent their transition in to the Scouting America Troop, where they will find increased challenges and continued opportunities for leadership roles.
